Dan Buettner might just live forever. Maybe not but he’s making a go of it. Dan is the guy who has dedicated his life to scouring the world to pin down certain regions of the world, and figure out how and why the people who live there live longer and happier than most of us. So far we’ve found out that these “Blue Zones” have less secret mysteries, human sacrifices into volcanoes, or strange anti-aging ceremonies and more active lifestyles that combine things like eating your fruits and veggies, moving your body naturally, and spending time with your friends, family, and neighbors. Which sounds better and more logical anyway. And, hey, before you go booking a ticket to Italy or Costa Rica or Japan or Greece or the other Blue Zone we can’t recall, did you know they’re called Blue Zones because originally when Dan and his team were marking up the maps they used a blue pen to circle those areas and the name stuck. We’re rooting for blue pens and more time with friends on a Wednesday. If anyone sees Dan walking around in 500 years please tell him he won the bet.

The Robots Are Getting Smarter
It appears the robots are now dipping their toes into the world of archeology, recently helping discover 303 new geoglyphs in the Peruvian Desert’s Nazca Pampa region — using only aerial photos.
World Kindness Day
Friendly reminder that today is World Kindness Day. Get a free dozen doughnuts, text someone you forgive them, or at the very least don’t tell anyone that a certain someone dies in the season finale of OBX. Thanks for being here.
“The Greatest Benefit to Humankind”
In the land of humans doing important things, this year’s six Nobel Prize Winners have been announced. Funny worms, robots learning things, questions about human life — they’re all in there, plus a few more pretty neat discoveries and such. Take a look.
