We don’t make the rules, but if we did, we’d give Chris a raise. Chris runs a project called A Daily Cloud. It seems to be a passion project about how simple life can be, but you decide. If you ever meet his boss, please consider reinforcing the idea of getting Chris a bump. Other than that, the hallways at Flow have been buzzing about The Dinner Table, an event with a giant long table and fancy chairs and candles that we’re hosting for Flow members on September 3rd. Then there’s The Surf Issue of Flow Trip Magazine, which was guest-edited by Mr. Morgan Maassen and comes out sooner than you can say Hawaiian roller coaster ride. And we’re also trying to suggest to anyone who will listen to turn on this 9-part podcast series called Dolly Parton’s America. Maybe Chris knows more than the rest of us — a cloud a day might just be the way. What a way to make a livin’.
The Mary Anning Myth is a new playlist from us, it’s good.
50,000 bucks is 50,000 bucks
We released the Winners, Finalists, and Honorable Mentions from The 2026 Flow Photo Contest. 20,322 entries from 47 countries. We also saw entries from each Flow building and several thousand from magazine subscribers. More importantly, collectively we raised a fair amount and sent checks to Surfrider, charity: water, Hi, How Are You Project, Music Farming and Re:wild. Not bad, good job, everyone.
Fool Me Three Times
James Donald Forbes McCann, real name, wrote a joke. Now, look, it’s not as good as Norm MacDonald’s Moth & The Podiatrist joke, but if you’ve ever been fooled, this one might be good to remember. Shame back on you.
Get a Hobby
Our friend Max, who works at Flow, might be a serial killer. He also might just be one of the nicest hard-working guys we know. It’s one or the other, or maybe both. Cheer Max and Michael on when January comes in the 777 race: 7 marathons in 7 days on 7 continents… all while pushing his friend in a wheelchair. It’s for a world record, and we told him we’d like his Strava if he does it.
