With the Olympics starting next week the gang thought it would be good to inform you that we were a lot closer to having “poodle clipping” as an Olympic event than you might have ever imagined. In 1900, the committee considered it at one of the taste events (qualifier for what becomes a game or not). Now you might be thinking, why would they have an Olympic event for how well you can style a poodle? But don’t be ridiculous the actual event was to see how MANY poodles you could clip in two hours, style and the poodle’s feelings had very little to do with it. Anyhow, the winner of the taste event successfully clipped 17 poodles inside the time limit, however, in a shocking decision, that was not enough to persuade the committee to grant it full game status. We'd like to see competitive paper plane throwing before poodle clipping, but it's not up to us. The opening ceremony is next Friday, and you just finished the opening ceremony for today's Afternoon Delight. Lighting torches on a Tuesday.

Olympic Daycare
There's a nursery coming to the Olympic Village, and no it's not for super baby athletes — well they might be, but they're not competing.

Ecohagen
