Dispatches from the dark room ☀️
TUESDAY | 4.7.26

“As convenient as the pencil.” George Eastman had one big ole mission during his heyday: to make photography accessible to anyone and everyone. So that any regular person could pick up a camera and take a photo, no fuss necessary. We’re pretty glad the high school dropout and photo hobbyist followed his dreams and brought us Kodak. It started as a pretty simple idea, but the impact changed photography as we know it. From capturing pictures of the first American in space to the birds in our backyards, Kodak gets the timing right. One of the reasons we shook hands and partnered up with them for another year of The Flow Photo Contest. You can learn more about Mr. Eastman’s story here. Then hopefully you’re filled with an overwhelming amount of admiration and inspiration, and send us a few of your shots over here at The Photo Contest. Hopefully. We’ll be waiting in the dark room. Other delightful-type things for your Tuesday, coming right up, Sally.
You can now wake up to the same tunes as Artemis II. Thanks, Houston.

Coming Soon: Sir David
The David Attenborough Issue of Flow Trip Magazine is coming down the line in May to celebrate Sir David’s big 100. FYI, Mallory will be wearing this t-shirt until May 8th.
New Nation Alert
There’s a new nation in town. Meet Slowjamastan. Where reply-all emails are banned, and going over the speed limit is allowed only if tacos are aboard the vehicle. Oh, and a raccoon is the national animal.
Slow and Steady
There must be something in the water. Probably just Ben Thouard on his way to Miami to judge this year’s Photo Contest. See you soon, Ben.
Other Good News & Happenings
False alarm, folks. Jonathan is alive.
Celebrating Mama Nature with Nat Geo and friends this month.
