Slow goes it. Let your hair down. Slow and steady. Take it easy. There are a lot of ways to encourage people (including oneself) to stop and smell the roses that life has to offer. Ferris Bueller got it right: “If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.” Then again, that was shortly after he ran through five backyards and probably trampled all of his neighbors’ freshly bloomed daffodils. With a grain of salt, as they say. If you haven’t taken a moment this fine Friday to pause and pet the dog, look out of the office window at the clouds, or have that extra cup of coffee before getting back to whatever you’ve decided to dedicate your very special life to, take this as your sign from the powers that be. Hey, you deserve it.
The Summer Vacation Spots Less Traveled
