We’ve reached the hummingbird stage. This is right before the hurricane stage and a little after the tomato sandwich stage and coincidentally right next to sending the latest edition of the magazine to the printer stage. There’s a lot happening. And our small feathered friends can relate. Each year in late summer in North America tens of millions of hummingbirds start making their way south with many traveling over 2,000 miles completely alone, guided by Earth's magnetic field…and they’re the size of a golf ball. Buy a hummingbird feeder here or stand by your mailbox for a week or two. The latest edition of Flow Trip Magazine will arrive, it is guest edited by Morgan Maassen and has people like Jack Johnson and others involved. It turned out real nice. The Surf Issue. Lots happening. Hope you’re well. Here’s some other good news from around the way.

Granny Grommets
Every Friday morning at Albany’s Middleton Beach in Western Australia, the Granny Grommets, a joyful crew of women over 50, paddle out on colorful bodyboards. Enjoy the salty-haired crew that star in this 9 minute documentary. We’re not crying, it’s the light from the hummingbird feeder in our eyes.
That’s a Bingo!
We’ve never met Christoph Waltz but now we’d like to. Came across his conversation about how “change is annoying, but certainty is absurd” and now we’re trying to find someone who might know Mr. Waltz to be in our Interview Issue coming out in December. If you’re sitting next to him on a train could you please show him this note - thank you.
Save the Date, It’s Fancy Chair Time
On September 3, we’re pulling the good chairs out for our first installment of The Dinner Series. A Flow Members-Only Event. Remarkably accurate name, but hella lotto’ soul. Dinner, drinks, live music, a special guest, and whatever lucky person happens to be sitting next to you. That’s the whole plan. A big old giant long table. Chef Sagi making magic. Excessive amount of candles. A special host guest. The best damn dinner service this side of the Mississippi. Free, but for Flow Members only, and we mean it because we only have so many good chairs; there aren’t many. More details land in your inbox soon, so keep an eye out, Sally.
